On September 21, 1992, Wuxi Power Machinery Factory and Hong Kong capital jointly established the Sino-foreign joint venture Wuxi Huayou Power Generation Equipment Co., Ltd.
On February 26, 2001, Wuxi Wandi Group integrated its diesel generator set business and incorporated the generator set business units of Wuxi Power Engineering Co., Ltd. Power Station Branch and Wuxi Power Equipment Factory into Wuxi Huayou Power Generation Equipment Co., Ltd.
In June 2004, it passed the GJB9001A-2001 military product quality system certification by China New Era Quality System Certification Center and obtained the certificate.
In early February 2007, Huayou signed the largest military generator set order since its establishment, the "211 Project".
In March 2007, Wuxi Huayou Power Generation Equipment Co., Ltd. underwent ownership change, with Hong Kong capital exiting, becoming a domestic-funded company jointly invested by Wuxi Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Wandi Power Group Co., Ltd. In the same year, the company obtained confidentiality and manufacturing qualification certificates.
On May 25, 2009, the new factory located at Jiaoyang Road, Eastern Zone of Xishan Economic Development Zone broke ground; on November 10, 2010, the company officially moved into the new factory.
On September 3, 2012, it passed ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:2007 environmental and occupational health safety management system certifications by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited and obtained the certificates.
In November 2012, the company's registered capital was increased to 32 million yuan.
In December 2014, it obtained the Level 3 Work Safety Standardization Certificate for the military industry system.
In April 2015, the company underwent major equity structure reform, with the original legal person shares exiting, becoming a private enterprise controlled by operators, further activating the company's vitality.
In August 2018, it obtained 3 utility model patent certificates.
In November 2020, it obtained 3 invention and 8 utility model patent certificates.
